ImmunoPrism Protocol Published in Peer-Reviewed Journal of Visualized Experiments

Cofactor Genomics expands access and resources available for users of its Predictive Immune Modeling technology with video methods of their distributed assay
Key Takeaways
  • ImmunoPrism molecular protocol published for first time
  • Unique video journal highlights details of novel protocol that produces multidimensional biomarkers
  • Video serves as new resource for customers using reagent kit and cloud-based informatics version of ImmunoPrism

Cambridge, MA – March 10, 2020 – Video methods for the molecular protocol associated with the Cofactor Genomics ImmunoPrism® Assay are now published in the Journal of Visualized Experiments. The peer-reviewed publication, entitled “Predictive Immune Modeling of Solid Tumors,” highlights the targeted capture-based RNA approach to immune profiling that delivers individual gene and immune cell measurements along with multidimensional biomarkers and relevant performance metrics.

The authors of the paper highlight specific portions of the protocol that require attention to detail, and offer tips for successful execution of a translational study. Data presented in collaboration with TriStar Technology Group at the 2019 Annual Meeting of the American Association of Cancer Research (AACR) is used to demonstrate the power of the company’s Predictive Immune Modeling approach.

“Collaborating with the team at Cofactor Genomics has enabled TriStar to showcase our value as a provider of high-quality clinical patient materials, and a fully-integrated biomarker discovery partner. It is through tools like ImmunoPrism that we will truly achieve the promise of precision medicine by understanding the role of the immune system in response to therapy” stated TriStar Technology Group Co-founder and CEO Milan Bhagat.

The ImmunoPrism kit represents one method of accessing Cofactor’s technology, which has been adopted by contract research organizations, sequencing cores, and individual laboratories with Illumina sequencing capabilities. The company also offers a fee-for-service offering in their CAP/CLIA accredited laboratory.

“Our team at Cofactor is dedicated to ensuring our customers are prepared to use the ImmunoPrism kit in their own laboratory,” stated David Messina, Cofactor’s Chief Operating Officer. “While on-site training is available for ImmunoPrism Certified Service Providers, this video methods paper offers a virtual training resource not only for our current customers, but also for those who may be interested in learning how the technology works.”

Customers who are interested in additional technical on-boarding for the ImmunoPrism Assay may pursue the Cofactor Certified Service Provider (CSP) program which includes on-site training and support, along with performance validation and accreditation.

About Cofactor Genomics

Cofactor Genomics is bridging the precision medicine gap by building diagnostic tools to match the right patient to the right treatment at the right time. Predicting patient response to therapy currently relies on isolated, single-analyte biomarkers that have failed to deliver accurate therapy response predictions, resulting in unnecessary healthcare costs, and most harmfully, negative outcomes for patients. Cofactor’s products use Predictive Immune Modeling, which leverages RNA data and machine learning to combine biological signals, creating multidimensional biomarkers to deliver on the promise of precision medicine. Cofactor Genomics offers its full-service molecular, informatic, and database tools to make drug discovery, clinical trials and therapy selection more successful.
